After several years of high growth, The Distractions were at a point where their pricing structure needed to increase. Their existing branding no longer reflected the high quality offering The Distractions offered, and they needed to reposition themselves in their customers eyes as a premium option. In addition, they were looking to launch two sub-brands; The Distractions Duo - For more smaller/intimate weddings; and The Distractions Corporate to serve the corporate events sector. They also wanted to move people away from the perception of Live Entertainment at weddings being confined to the Evening Reception, to a full day experience where music is incorporated throughout the day - Ceremony, Drinks Reception, Wedding Breakfast, and Evening Party.
The branding needed to work with several constraints. It needed to work both big on exhibition stands, and small in the corner of their promotional videos. It needed to feel premium, modern, and a brand customers could trust with their most special of days. The logotype we used helped us create a compact logo which would work on social media, and it’s refined characters and lighter font weight helped it communicate it’s premium quality. We moved the branding away from the harsh red and black colour palette, to a lighter gold / purple and cool green to create a more elegant and assured vibe. We helped customers to consider The Distractions higher value packages by restructuring their messaging to make Full-Day wedding packages the primary offering, resulting in a significant uptake in Full-day bookings. We also helped them to overhaul both their offline and online marketing material, and re-designed their exhibition stands for the National Wedding Show and other industry events.
